Université de Nantes (France)

General information: Nantes, the capital of the Pays de la Loire region, is home to over 300,000 inhabitants. Nantes is known for its many monuments, such as the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, but also for its vineyards. The city is home to 50,000 students, of which around 35,000 are enrolled at the Université de Nantes, of which more than 4,000 are international students. The Université de Nantes maintains four campuses in Nantes, one campus in Saint-Nazaire and one campus in La Roche-sur-Yon.

Study programs and specializations: A bachelor's and two master's programs in psychology are offered; a general master's and a master's in social, industrial, and organizational psychology.

Study schedule: The academic year begins in September and ends in May or June. The summer semester break lasts over two months; there are no classes in July and August.

Other Information: The "Autour du monde" - Erasmus Student Network (ESN) organizes numerous activities for international students, including so-called "Conversation Groups" in German/French in bars, excursions and visits as well as parties. There is also the possibility to participate in French language courses.
